Last post for 2010, more news and quips from GZ in 2011!

Today's GZ post is a special one. Not only does it ring in the holidays in a style only myself and my loyal readers can enjoy, but it is also the last post of 2010. Next year I will keep reporting on whatever I deem necessary and worthy of being mentioned here and hopefully I get more feedback from my readers as well as more content contributions. I was considering a name change of the blog too, but honestly I can't think of anything better unless I change it to "Games and Zombies" or something. In any case, I won't be winning awards for blog titles and I am okay with that. I do have some gaming news to pass along, but before I do I wanted to say how hilarious today's picture is. Back in 2008 a guy named Sean Bieri released a series of these on the net and I just found them. It's amazing what turns up when you take two seemingly unrelated topics and google search them together. Marvelous. I put a few of his images in the midst of today's post. There is a funny zombie xmas movie I found that is embedded after the news to top it all off. Enjoy and Happy Holidays from Game Zombie!

Da' News

Valve announced, via its blog, that Left 4 Dead community created content is coming to the Xbox360! Previously this was for PC only, but valve is going to pick the best of the best and make it available for 360 players too! Bravo!

Also the moment we have all been waiting for....more Left 4 Dead plushies! A perfect stocking stuffer!

So Dead Space 2 is set for a February 1st release date in  2011. To get your appetite wet the demo was released on Xbox Live yesterday and to get you drooling some more, here are a few videos.

So Red Dead Redemption won the VGA for 2010 Game of the Year and for good reason. I actually ended up purchasing a copy for $30 on Black Friday and I am glad I did. This game will have so much replay value for years to come. For those that missed out, you can get if from Xbox games on demand over Live. $60 though.

Little Big Planet 2 goes gold for January 18th 2011. This game is going to be viral. It will certainly sell more PS3 systems. I love the first one but I barely scratched the surface of what is possible in it. The sequel will blow our minds.

Destructoid posted a preview of Uncharted 3 and all I can say is I want it now. This will be yet another super feather in the Sony PS3 hat.

Well CoD: Black Ops has officially broke 1 Billion in sales. A stunning achievement that will only get bigger. The first DLC dubbed "First Strike" for Black Ops is due to hit Feb 1 2011. No word on pricing yet. The pack will have 4 new multi-player maps and 1 new zombie map. The weekend before will be free multiplayer weekend on Live for those few out there with a silver membership.

So that is the news. Here is the zombie xmas movie I promised you and one more pic from the Bieri collection. See you in 2011!

Homefront - New FPS That Will Scare the $#1t Out of You

If you have not yet heard of the upcoming shooter Homefront then today you should take a moment and familiarize yourself with it. Not only is it a totally rad looking war game with aspects and features that far surpass anything in the Call of Duty series and rivals the Battlefield series, it is also a scary view of a future United States that hits you right in the gut. The developers worked with the guy who penned the story for Red Dawn and Apocalypse Now among other credits. Just watching the trailer below about how they came up with the idea for Homefront is an eye opener.

After watching that you might realize not only did they give this game a lot of thought and real-world credibility. It's a reality that can scare the crap out of any red-blooded American. So beyond that this game looks fantastic. It's moved to the top of my list. Due out in March 2011. Look for more info as we get closer to the release date. Until then, enjoy these other videos.

Zombie News No. 32

Wait! I didn't mean it! C'mon I was just hungry thats all.
So....many a day have passed since the last Zombie News but thats ok because all of us have been playing lots of games and enjoying our time off from work or school. You haven't been waiting for another post to Game Zombie have you? You have?! Well today is your day to smile loyal reader! I have some meaningless insight for you to soak up and marinate in. First up, before we hit the headlines,....the much touted and highly watched AMC series "The Walking Dead" (pic above) premiered on Halloween and ran 6 episodes before leaving most of us wanting more. The good news is that the series, was picked up for a second season long before the last episode aired and is slated for 13 more episodes starting next October. Long wait....but it will be worth it.

Da' News

The VGA's aired this past weekend and a lot of good games won awards. The only thing that matters to most us however, are the new game reveals and trailers. Case in point: Uncharted 3 and Portal 2

On the zombie side of the gaming spectrum (but of course), Dead Rising 2 Case West DLC is due to hit Live this month on 12/27 and for $10 this time around. The pic below is part of a gallery on. Click it.

Frank looks well fed.

The fine staff at Joystiq has posted a few videos of Dead Space 2's protagonist Issac and the multi-player features that are forthcoming.

NBA Elite 11 was canceled. Flat out canceled. EA succumbed to 2k's dominance. Check the article.

Angry Birds plushies! I want them!

These are quite possibly the dumbest idea. Then again, it could be genius....what I do know is that I don't want to be caught playing with that attached to my controller....which is an odd statement all together.

Everyone knows someone who plays guitar right? Well are they gamers too? If so, I might have found the holy grail of all rocker/gamer's dreams. Link.

Well that's what I got for now. Back with more later loyal peeps.

Stay tuned!!

The Coolest Sidekick in Dead Rising 2 - Snowflake the Tiger

Watch and enjoy. I totally missed this mission. Trying to stick to the story missions kind makes you miss the side missions.

Green Lantern Trailer

Oh yea. I will be watching this.

Zombie News No. 31 - Black Ops Edition

Take that Infinity Ward!
This is a special edition of the Zombie News. Not a ton of content but a few tidbits you may or may not be aware of. I have to pre-face this with the fact that I haven't even loaded the game up yet. I wasn't feeling very good the past two days and playing Black Ops was hard to resist but I owed to myself to be in the best mindset possible so as to give this game the best review possible. Luckily for you, a number of other well-funded and more popular gaming sites have reviewed the game for you. Don't pay any attention to the lack of the Destructoid Black Ops Review. Jim Sterling only reviewed the PC version which is CLEARLY not the platform that Black Ops was intended for. I don't care what the developer said. Sterling's review is jaded in my opinion and therefore I don't include it here. For the record, he gave it a 6.0.

Reviews of CoD Black Ops

Joystiq gives it 4 out of 5 stars and because they have the time they also gave us a short list of reviews from other sites. Check out their gallery of screens from the game too.

  • GamePro (5/5 Stars): "The good news is that the game is absolutely worth the investment, and even if you find yourself disagreeing with some of the changes Treyarch instituted or you run into a bunch of morons who are hell bent on ruining a particular mode for you, you have plenty of other options to keep you engaged for a good long time."
  • GameTrailers (9.3/10): "Treyarch has closed the gap between its games and the Modern Warfare franchise with boundless customization, a keen sense of what makes the formula a success, and listening to fans."
  • 1UP (A-): "When examining this seventh (and therefore odd-numbered) Treyarch installment beside the studio's history, it's apparent that not only does Black Ops show how much Treyarch has grown as a developer, but that it's easily their best title yet."
  • IGN (8.5/10): "Call of Duty: Black Ops is a great overall package that has a ton of content to enjoy. The multiplayer modes are largely based on what was established by Modern Warfare, but the twists that Treyarch throws in work well."
  • Giant Bomb (4/5 Stars): "Do you want to play more Call of Duty? I'm guessing the answer is yes, and by all means, Black Ops is worth playing. But for all its ambitious steps to set itself apart from the previous games, it flounders in a few too many of those areas to be a total success."
For the ladies, Activision goofed by not including codes for the free outfits in their Hardened and Prestige Editions for female Avatars. So they quickly made some codes and someone in their kindness posted them to the net for all females to use. Here they be: By inputting the code GYVF8-PF7RY-28D7V-VGWV8-CFGRM into your Xbox (or online), you can snag the "SR 71 Flight Suit"; while inputting R76BQ-CR3MF-G2TTF-9G36R-BQWJD will net you a "Woods Outfit."

Secrets in Black Ops? Yes! Treyarch has some easter eggs for us. Check out the vid below.

You Still There?

Have you been playing Black Ops for the last 17 hours? Are you all jacked up on Mountain Dew? If you are, my hat goes off to you. I myself can hardly keep my eyelids open past 2am. Being a little older, I will turn to coffee and food in the wee hours of a gaming night. With the release of Black Ops a little over 32 hours ago, many a adolescent, dorm-dwellers, and cool fathers with the excuse "It's for the kids honey" have been basking in the multi-player glory that is CoD: Black Ops. IGN gave it an 8.5 and mentioned a few problems with AI and questionable multi-player match stability.

I will get my first crack at Black Ops later this week. I haven't updated the blog as much as I would have liked to, but I just couldn't find much that jumped out at me as reportable. This will change though. Well back to the grind people.

Zombie News No. 30

Michael Myers, from the famous 'Halloween' movie and its umpteen sequels and two fantastic remakes by aptly named filmmaker/rocker Rob Zombie, has in my mind always been a bit of a zombie character. He has all the qualities: Nearly impossible to kill, no emotion, doesn't eat food, kills anyone who crosses his path, hardly makes a sound, has the same blank look on his face, and I could go on and on. He is more like a zombie than a human in my opinion. What do you think?

So I haven't posted in about a week. Two reasons, 1) some family matters sprung up, 2) nothing really to post about that I thought couldn't wait. I mean really this rest of the year will be a bit busy for all of us what with holidays, and lets face it the best stretch of gaming releases till the end of the year. Tis the gaming season where we play in our free time away from massive feasts of food and healthy doses of family gatherings. Any good gaming zombie can appreciate more games and food to boot. I know I do! So here is what a I scavenged from the game news.

Da News

Star Wars the Force Unleashed II hit store shelves today and the reviews are in. News flash its a mediocre game. Dtoid and Joystiq give it a 5 and a 6.

The Red Dead Redemption Undead Nightmare disc that includes other RDR goodies is set to release Nov.23

Just for us game zombies and to celebrate Halloween, MS released a zombie costume for your avatar. Neat!

There is actually a CoD: Black Ops edition Jeep Wrangler. Go figure.

Treyarch put the hammer down on Quickscoping in CoD: Black Ops. Dtoid has the report. I say good. Even playing field is funner anyway.

Finally, Dead Rising 2 Solider of Fortune DLC pack is available. Wanna look like Rambo and slay zombies? Go for it.

That's it. I told you  I scavenged for news. One tidbit from my own source, I beat DR2 and really enjoyed my time doing it. Look for a review somewhere down the line from me. I only wish I could capture my own screen shots to show you. Maybe a mini-review later this week. Next on my play list....Black Ops!

RDR Undead Nightmare Trailer!

Read the IGN Preview here.

I am CHOMPING AT THE BIT for this one. :)

Zombie News No. 29

If ever there were such an organization like the one depicted above I certainly would be a proud member of it. The primal man within me would relish the idea of hunting zombies. I gotta say that given the gamut of zombie types out there I would be most interested in hunting the zombies from the movie I Am Legend. They are just plain mean. Anywho, there is some news to cover so I will get things started.

Da' News

Red Dead Redemption Undead Nightmare DLC due to hit October 26th. I really miss playing RDR. The superb add-ons that Rockstar has released are just making me miss it more. I will be securing this title before long methinks. Especially since now they are combining zombies with old west weaponry! And zombie bears!
Check out this gallery of pictures.

The PS3 exclusive top-down zombie shooter Dead Nation will have online and offline co-op. This is a game I may check out depending on its reception by critics and the like. Seems quirky to me.

Joystiq posted their review of Medal of Honor and give it a guarded high-score (4/5) based largely on the single-player campaign. Multi-player was a mixed bag. They also posted the reviews from other sites, which again showed that the scores are primarily on par with the campaign portion.

The fine folks at Co-Optimus reviewed the Playstion Move. I am really skeptical on the whole motion controller wave, but the people at Sony look to have it down pat.

The Dead Rising 2 Psycho Skills Pack released this week. Go get it! It's only like $2. Fun!

Check this hot new CoD Black Ops Trailer!

A great little piece of writing for introducing the just released demo for Star Wars: Force Unleashed II. Hysterical! Go get the demo.

Finally a native application of Netflix for the PS3 is being released on Oct 18th. It manages to one up the Xbox by adding the coveted search feature to the interface. Brilliant.

Ok so with the news out of the way I can add that I will be reviewing Dead Rising 2 soon. I have had a blast playing it so far. Keep on keeping on! Please comment below and let me know what you think. Til'next time.

DLC Review: The Sacrifice (Left 4 Dead 1&2)

DLC - The Sacrifice (Xbox 360)
Game - Left 4 Dead and Left 4 Dead 2
Cost - 560 Microsoft Points

The crew at Valve must love L4D as much as I do. Why? Because it shows in their level design. In their latest expansion to one of the best zombie games ever, gamers have to suit up as the original survivors (Bill, Francis, Louis, and Zoey) and complete the gap in the story between L4D1 and L4D2. Overall, I give the DLC a solid 7.5 / 10 and that is a great score in my opinion. It would have been a higher score if the campaign was longer. That is my only gripe on what is otherwise a fantastically fun romp.

The Sacrifice has 3 maps including one hell of a finale. The campaign maps are packed with infected and specials. The 2nd map has a great "king of the hill" type setup where players have to fight off hordes of infected while running up a hill, down a gangway, and through a barge. It was blast! I played the version for L4D2 which is by far the better of the two since it includes the addition of the melee weapons, m60, and other L4D2 exclusive options. Giving Francis a melee weapon is pure zombie slaying glee. The finale is a nail-biting, trigger happy, and jaw dropping experience. The survivors must start 3 generators with each triggering an seemingly endless horde of infected with special infected swarming you including a tank or two. Once the generators are going everyone must get on the bridge and then one player must sacrifice themselves for the team by fighting through the oncoming hordes and re-start one of the generators to trigger the closing credits. It's intense!

I highly recommend this one to the Left 4 Dead faithful and even the casual. The fun factor is amped up in this one and makes up for the short campaign length. If you have a choice, get the L4D2 version and as a bonus you will get the No Mercy campaign with the original survivors and all of the L4D2 weapons and special infected for a new challenge! Have fun peeps! I did!

L4D Sacrifice DLC finally hits Xbox 360 and Dead Rising 2 Gets More DLC

OK so after a business trip this morning I came back to my laptop and Microsoft had posted the DLC 'The Sacrifice' for Left 4 Dead 1 & 2 at 6:30am Eastern. Want to queue it up? Go here. I did, and I can't wait to sacrifice Louis. Joking. Not really, but seriously I am.

Also this is a snippet from a Destructoid report on Dead Rising 2 getting some new DLC:

Dead Rising 2 is getting its first traditional add-on content: stat-boosting outfits. Capcom didn't mention specific prices yet, but this seems like the type of content you'd be asked to pay a few dollars for. Note: the first date is for Xbox 360, and the second is for PlayStation 3.
  • Psychopath Theme Pack (Oct. 12 and 13): You are more difficult to kill; "gruesome" weapons like chainsaws and axes do more damage
  • Soldier of Fortune Theme Pack (Oct. 19 and 20): Double ammo, increased shooting accuracy, more firepower, and improved headshot accuracy; special spray attack with automatic weapons
  • Sports Theme Pack (Oct. 26 and 27): Sports-themed weapons are more effective; new tackle attack; you earn more from gambling and gain more health while eating and drinking
  • Ninja Theme Pack (Nov. 2 and 3): Zombies won't grab you as easily; damage is increased with sword-type weapons which also have new special attacks; stackable items and throwing items like nails and gems do more damage; faster throwing speed

Capcom is trying to give everyone everything (for a price). It's liberal thinking, and for gamers that good. I like it. Stay tuned! Defiler FTW!

Watch this Dead Space 2 Multiplayer Preview

I am REALLY looking forward to this title if only for the Multiplayer/Co-Op experience. This looks great. Enjoy. Head nod Joystiq.

Now Playing: Dead Rising 2

Huge map, over 50 known combo weapons, co-op, new game modes, new story, and more zombies than you can shake a Boomstick at. Yeah, this is Dead Rising 2.

NEW Left 4 Dead "The Sacrifice" Trailer

This is a good one. I like how the music drives the mood. 'The Sacrifice' hits Xbox Live and Steam next Tuesday October 5th.

CoD: Black Ops Zombie Teaser Site

Some time ago a number of gaming journalists at popular companies received a USB stick with a bunch of odd information on it that pointed to website and then back to Activision. Well the website GKNOVA6.com is now updated with new content and is dedicated to CoD: Black Ops. If you go check it out you will see what I mean. This further confirms the inclusion of a zombie mode in the Black Ops game due to release Nov 11th of this year.

I for one can't wait to shot a zombie with an explosive tipped arrow from a crossbow and watch him wander into another couple of zombies and BOOM!!!

Zombie News No. 28 + Dead Space Mini-Review

So true.

This is a HUGE update. Why? Because I have been slacking and not updating regularly like I normally do. No matter. Another 5 days and Dead Rising 2 will be spinning happily in my Xbox360 and my attention will again be diverted. I also am including a mini-review of the original Dead Space game for PS3 in this edition of the news. Does that help make for the lack of updates this week? I thought it might.

Da' News

This just in! Left 4 Dead new DLC 'The Sacrifice' is set to release for PC (via Steam) and Xbox 360 on October 5th. Xbox users will pay 560MS Points to get the new DLC. As a point of interest, you can download the content for either L4D or L4D2. The latter of which gives owners the No Mercy campaing as well. I will be buying for L4D2. Francis with a frying pan is just too tempting to pass up.

Watch this Bulletstorm video from the Tokyo Game Show. Good stuff.

According to a Dtoid report, CoD: Black Ops will have a Zombie mode in it. Citing some recent Twitter posts and a strategy guide from Brady Games that has a section covering "Zombie mode." Nice!

Dead Rising 2 ships tomorrow. Naturally, I will be happily goring zombies in Fortune City by Wednesday evening and some of you may even be waiting in line at midnite tonight to get your hands on the game. In the meantime, this is a good video to keep you wanting more. In another tidbit of info, Frank West's camera will make a return in Case: West.

Red Dead Redemption released new DLC 'Liars and Cheats' last week. Co-Optimus has some info on the next DLC for the epic western....zombies. Get info on the Nightmare Pack.

Check out this fan-made Half-Life 2 movie!

Basketball peeps will want to check out the new NBA Elite 11 Demo for 360 and PS3.

Our friends at Coffee with Games who faithfully support the Nintendo Wii platform have an interesting statistic. Super Smash Bros. is now the most played Wii game in America.

Possibly the coolest project ever undertaken. A man named Brian De Vitis made a geek icon into something so cool and geeky it might just make you cry geek tears of joy. An R2D2 gaming unit with 11 different retro gaming consoles installed in its core and projected out R2's dome. You want to click this link.

Dead Space (PS3) Mini-Review

Each weapon has alternate fire modes. The flamethrower can shoot fireballs. Or as seen here, fry necromorphs.
Ok as promised here is little review on the original Dead Space. If you are a survival horror game junkie then even the slightest suggestion of Dead Space being a top-notch title in that genre should send you out running to pick up a copy. Even if grotesque creatures with freakishly long appendages and a penchant for dropping out of the ceiling to scare the pee out of you is not your bag of tea you should at least give it a try. Dead Space was a fantastic romp that kept me entertained till the very end. You play as Issac Clarke, an engineer with an awesome space suit and an iron resolve. You and your crew end up marooned on the planet-cracker space ship the Ishimura and these things called Necromorphs have taken over the ship and its passengers. As Issac you have a number of tasks to complete in a 12 chapter story that weaves an interesting and exciting plot. Graphics were great and frame-rate never dipped. Story was good, controls were tight, and combat was enjoyable.
You can continue to move around while the HUD is active.

Two things stood out to me with this game. 1) Dismemberment of the Necromorphs is the surest way to kill them and thusly it made for some intense battles with precision aiming. As a result the weapons you use are fantastic and the variety of opponents makes using the different weapons a necessity. 2) The HUD and information screens. Not one single cut-scene movie (save for the last few seconds of the game) was needed. All information is disseminated through your HUD which is a combo of pop-up videos and audio tracks. It keeps you connected to the action and to the task in front of you. The inventory system, map, and info screens all tie-in to the HUD making it all very seamless. I liked it a lot.

You talking to me?

Overall - 8.5

Dead Rising 2 Case:West Featuring Frank West

So what I thought was reported was that Frank West is a playable co-op character in Dead Rising 2, but instead it turns out Capcom has announced an Epilogue for a yet to be released game. In a nutshell, our buddy Frank West will be starring along side Chuck Greene in DLC that is exclusive to Xbox 360 (sorry PS3 fans). Let's hope it retains the $5 price tag that Case:Zero has.

I have mixed feelings about this announcement. Thoughts?

Alice: Madness Returns New Trailer and Screens

Fresh off the Tokyo Game Show (happening now) floor is this trailer for EA's new Alice game. Below are a few screenshots from the game and a concept art picture to boot. The first trailer was freaky. This one is a little less freaky, but it still hits the mark and leaves you wanting more. Not sure how this title will play when it releases (ETA unknown) but it looks like the visuals will rock your socks off.

Left 4 Dead The Sacrifice Comic is Quite Good

This is why Francis is my favorite character in the L4D universe.

If you haven't already I highly recommend checking out Valve's new Left 4 Dead comic that just released yesterday. I read it and I am really looking forward to the next 3 chapters. The goal of this comic is to give gamers some backstory on our beloved original L4D foursome and then eventually give us the scoop on how Bill died in the beginning of "The Passing" DLC and therefore bridge the story between L4D and L4D2.

So what are your thoughts on the comic? Like? Don't like? Comments?

Now Playing: Dead Space (PS3)

Do you like gore? Well? Do ya? Punk.

First time through and I am loving it. This is a great game. Look for a mini-review down the road.

Zombie News No. 27

Ok so I am going to hit the game news running here and mister zombie in the pic above (taken from the cover art of George A. Romero's "Dawn of the Dead" movie) is going to keep an eye on things for me while I keep playing Dead Space. Heh.

It's a bit blurry, but you get the idea.

Dead Rising 2 to include Frank West as co-op playable character - How awesome is that? DR2 is shaping up to be a huge game. Bigger than I think most of us anticipated.

Halo Reach is shipping tomorrow and the reviews are in. IGN, Dtoid, and the rest of them all say the same thing.Basically this is Bungie's masterpiece. A hallmark of FPS gaming. A must have. So what ya waiting for?

Speaking of reviews, Spider Man Shattered Dimensions is out in stores and reviews are mixed among sites.

Dead Space 2 Co-op video alert! - I am playing the first title and I love it. Can't wait for the sequel.

Dead Space 2 multi-player Preview from Joystiq.

Booyah!
Left 4 Dead's new comic for "The Sacrifice" DLC releases part 1 tomorrow. - Great wallpapers! Like this one.

Finally, a Red Dead Redemption sequel has hit the rumor mill after an employee for a service provider of Rockstar Games let the name slip. Co-Optimus has a bit more info for you. What would a RDR sequel look like for you? Hit up the comments!

Stay here for more news!

Add "The Crazies" to My Favorite Zombie Film Collection

One of my favorite zombie movies in the past decade is Zack Snyder's 2004 remake of Dawn of the Dead. It is very light on plot points and kind of stingy on character development, but its a fun romp that I enjoyed quite a bit. Romero's version from 1978 is still a classic as well. I want to add another Romero remake into my favorite zombie movies bin....The Crazies. It wastes no time sucking you into the vaccum of zombie hell. I never saw the original Romero flick, but this latest version from last year (out on DVD now) is a keeper on its own. What's more is that the plot seems a tad more believable than just re-animated corpses lusting for brains and human flesh. Trust me this is a good one for even the most casual zombie-film fans.

Zombie News No.26

Wow so thank all of you for keeping the flame burning here on GZ. I was surprised to see I had a few more followers on Twitter and that the traffic here has remained steady. Granted that was probably credited to only a few people and maybe some blog bots, but hey I can dream right? Well since I have so much to cover in the week since my last post, I am going with a slightly different format here. Basically a list of links with some of my sly comments to the side. The CoD Black Ops train is full speed ahead as it is basically dominating my choice of news here. Don't let that deter you zombie lovers though because I played Dead Rising 2 Case Zero and after this post, I will be typing up my impressions. Want a hint? September 28th can't come fast enough!

Da News

Call of Duty related
Ed Harris and Gary Oldman to lend voice talent to Black Ops. - Great actors! Heavy price I am sure.
Black Ops Previews: Dtoid, Joystiq - The critic train for CoD is in full effect. Skepticism followed by praise.
Killstreak Rewards Revealed - I am all about calling in the attack dogs.
Training Mode will recruit more players in multiplayer - Wha?! They need more? Yup. Survey says 30% play single-player only.
Special Edition Tritton CoD headset. - I want them.

Monday Night Combat update and DLC details - So the DLC will be free? SWEET.
Dead Rising 2 Case Zero sells 300k copies in first week - This is how you do a demo/intro to a game.
Portal 2 Co-Op Video is a MUST see. - I literally might pee my pants when I play this for the first time.

Jim Sterling plays Duke Nukem Forever at PAX 2010.  - Holy f*cking sh*t!!! It's a miracle.

Last week 600 Best Buy retail stores started their game trade-in program. - Great more places to get pittance for old games I own.
Microsoft raising price of Xbox Live Gold subscriptions to $59.99.  - That's because ESPN wanted a piece of the pie. Yes we will pay it, but only because we love Live.

Well that's what I picked out of the pile of updates I had for the past week. I am really loving the whole Duke Nukem return and Portal 2 Co-op stuff. Next year will be awesome, and these next few months will churn out some A+ titles too. Sit back and charge your batteries people because gaming is entering its next golden age.
